Travelling Solo
Yep, travelling solo is a fact of life for many of us and whilst sometimes it can be a little bit scary or lonely, it also has it's pay-offs. You know those times when you've been in a fabulous city with the most amazing architecture and you just can't get enough of it...but your husband or girlfriend is really, really, REALLY over it (and off to the hotel to read a book). What do you do nine times out of ten? That's right, toe the line because really, enough is enough, you've had your fill and now it's time to close the final curtain...quick stop me, I'm breaking into morbid song!!!
What I'm getting at, is that when you travel solo, you can be your own tour guide, choose your own agenda and spend as much time as like exploring the nooks and crannies of a city to find it's hidden gems and history. You don't have to please anyone but yourself, and of course, when are you going to get the chance to explore this city again? That's right! Probably not in this lifetime.

Did you know that the idea for Galavant was borne after yet another faraway sigh from friends or women whom I met in my travels. Invariably, they would say, oh I'd love to do that (whatever adventure I was heading off on next - or in the middle of). So many women want to see the world or even just get away for a short break somewhere, sometime, but they don't have a friend or a partner who is keen to do and see the same things as them. What was needed was a companion service or a travel site to help women make their travel dreams a reality.
So that is what Galavant strives to provide. We are not just a great planning tool for your next adventure, we also take off on our own trips that you are welcome to join us on.
